Witchbrook Finally Gets a Release Date, and It's Soon

Nintendo just gave the cozy witch-school life-sim its launch day, and the little seaside town of Mossport is almost ready for you to move in.

By Katie Olson

Witchbrook finally has a date, and it lands right where cozy fans hoped: January 28, 2027, on both Nintendo Switch 2 and the original Switch, as laid out in Nintendo of America's new trailer.

You start as the newest witch in Mossport, a seaside town that already looks like the kind of place you want to get lost in on a rainy evening. You make friends. You fall in love, gently, the way these games always let you. You work toward graduation with up to three other witches riding along, because apparently even magical adolescence is better shared.

That four-player promise is the little good thing here: a life-sim built from the start to be wandered through with people you actually like, not just a solo diary with company bolted on.

Here is the firm, non-negotiable catch before you wishlist it on faith: Nintendo is promising the same wonder on a seven-year-old Switch as on Switch 2, and nothing in this reveal says how a cauldron-and-harbor town built for four witches at once is supposed to run identically on both.

  • Witchbrook launches January 28, 2027
  • It releases on both Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch
  • Up to four players can explore the town of Mossport together
  • The setting follows a new witch through friendship, romance, and graduation
