GTA 6 PC Release Reportedly Slated for Spring 2027

A new report says Grand Theft Auto VI could reach PC as early as Spring 2027, timed suspiciously close to Take-Two's next earnings call.

Grand Theft Auto VI has not shipped on consoles yet, and already there is a number attached to when the rest of us get to play it on a keyboard. According to a report cited by MrBossFTW, the PC version could land as early as the first quarter of 2027, a date first floated by GamesBeat and now circulating through the usual channels of insider chatter and channel speculation.

Nothing here comes from Rockstar or Take-Two directly. This is a report about a report, and it should be read that way: plausible, specific, and still unconfirmed by the people who would actually know.

A Date That Lines Up Too Neatly

The timing is the interesting part, not the quarter itself. MrBossFTW's video also notes that Take-Two's next earnings call now has a date on the calendar, and floats the idea that a third trailer could land somewhere near it. Put those two things next to each other and the shape is familiar: a console launch, a run of exclusive sales, and only then a PC port timed to land once that console window has done its work.

That is not a scandal. It is how platform holders have handled nearly every major release this generation, and Rockstar has no particular incentive to break the pattern now. A PC release pushed to Spring 2027, well after any console launch, gives a full retail cycle on PlayStation and Xbox before the audience that waited gets its turn. Whoever benefits from that staggered sequencing is not a mystery.

What Else the Video Points To

Alongside the release-date claim, the video description also references:

  • a new behind-the-scenes story about the game described as arriving the following day
  • new artwork tied to a merchandise collaboration, linked through a Wynwood Walls shop page
  • a nod to journalist Jason Schreier's Bluesky profile as a source worth watching

None of that adds hard detail to the PC timing claim itself. It is context, not confirmation, and MrBossFTW frames it as such rather than as settled fact.

Why the Hedge Matters

No outlet in this chain, not GamesBeat, not the channel repeating it, has an on-record statement from Rockstar or Take-Two about a PC date. Spring 2027 is a plausible window dressed up as a leak, which is exactly what makes it worth tracking rather than trusting.

If the pattern holds, the people who feel it are the ones without a console at all: they wait out the exclusivity window, then wait again for a port date that keeps slipping a quarter at a time, paying full price for a version of the game everyone else finished months earlier.
