A PS5 Jailbreak App Reportedly Unlocks Free Games and DLC
An app called Overdrive is making the rounds for hacked PS5s, reportedly letting owners play games and DLC without paying for any of it.

A piece of software called Overdrive is circulating for jailbroken PS5 consoles, and according to Insider Gaming, it apparently unlocks every game and every bit of paid DLC on the system for free.
Strip away the branding and that's the whole pitch: crack open your console, install something outside Sony's control, and the storefront stops mattering. No purchase screen, no DLC paywall, just the library sitting there unlocked. That only works on hardware that's already jailbroken, which is its own project, its own risk, and almost certainly its own warranty violation.
Insider Gaming reports this as a seemingly real capability, not a confirmed one, and nobody official has said a word about Overdrive existing. Sony hasn't commented, there's no patch note addressing it, and the usual playbook for consoles getting jailbroken is a quiet firmware update that closes the door a few weeks later. That's happened to every jailbreak scene before this one.
So here's what's actually true today: a jailbreak app reportedly exists, it reportedly does what the name implies, and that's it. Everything past that is somebody's hacked console and somebody's bet on how long Sony takes to notice.
Until there's a patch note killing it or a dev blog bragging about it, Overdrive is a rumor with a working download link. Jailbreak at your own risk, and don't act surprised when the next update bricks the fun.
