That 'PS5 Pro' GTA 6 Screenshot Is Still Just a Screenshot
A Digital Foundry voice reportedly flagged pixel-level details in a new GTA 6 image as possible PS5 Pro tells. Nobody, including Rockstar, has confirmed a thing.
Pixel-peeping has become a competitive sport, and the latest round involves one of this week's new GTA 6 screenshots getting run through the kind of scrutiny usually reserved for moon landing footage. According to Will Mac's gta 6 rumours channel, a Digital Foundry expert looked at the image and flagged details the channel frames as possible evidence it was captured on PS5 Pro hardware rather than base PS5 or a development PC.
No spec sheet, no frame-rate counter, no Rockstar statement sits behind this. What exists is one screenshot, one outside opinion relayed secondhand through a fan channel, and a pile of inference about texture resolution or lighting fidelity that the description itself admits is not confirmed (the honesty is appreciated, the certainty that follows it less so). Digital Foundry built its name running actual side-by-sides with actual frame-time graphs. An unverified read on a single still image, however informed, is not that.
Treat this as what it is: a reasonable guess dressed in a respected name, floated months or years ahead of any PS5 Pro performance patch Rockstar might eventually confirm. The same week already produced a screenshot people spent time decoding for a movie reference rather than a graphics tier, as covered in GTA 6 Screenshot Drops a Not-So-Subtle Pulp Fiction Nod, so the pattern here is less a hardware reveal than a fanbase running every pixel Rockstar leaks through every possible filter.
Until Rockstar or Sony says anything official, file the PS5 Pro claim next to every other GTA 6 rumor: plausible, unconfirmed, and worth exactly as much as the screenshot it's built on.
