Pokémon Winds and Waves Leak Adds Ghost-Type Eevee, Mystery Countdown
A new tease points to a Ghost-type Eevee evolution and an unexplained countdown for the still-unannounced Pokémon project fans call Winds and Waves. None of it is confirmed, and the track record on this one isn't great.
A Ghost-type Eevee evolution and a mystery countdown are the latest additions to the ever-growing pile of claims about the unannounced Pokémon project fans have nicknamed Winds and Waves, according to the channel aDrive. Call it a 'leak' if you want. I'll call it an unverified tip with a hashtag attached, because that's what it is until Game Freak or Nintendo says a single word about it.
aDrive's video, posted to the aDrive YouTube channel, frames a "Secret Countdown" as worth watching alongside the Ghost-type Eevee rumor. No specifics on what the countdown is actually ticking toward, no date, no Pokédex number for the supposed Eevee variant. Just two hooks dangled in a description designed to funnel you toward four other videos on the same channel, all promising more Winds and Waves detail: menu UI, starter evolutions, a claimed 307 new Pokémon, and a laundry list of "23 things you missed" from an event nobody outside leak circles has independently verified happened the way it's described.
A pattern, not a reveal
This isn't the first lap around this track. Earlier coverage on this project already flagged that a prior Winds and Waves leak round mostly recycled information that had been floating around for weeks, dressed up as something new (go read Pokémon Winds & Waves 'Leak' Mostly Recycles What's Known if you want the receipts). Before that, another leak arrived conveniently bundled with its own discount code, which is the kind of detail that should make anyone squint, covered in A New Pokémon Leak Arrives With Its Own Discount Code Attached.
The Ghost-type Eevee claim fits neatly into that pattern: a franchise with a fourteen-year-old gimmick (Eeveelutions tied to new typings) gets a fresh rumor every leak cycle, and fans bite every time because sooner or later one of these claims lands. The countdown is even thinner, a tease with zero payload attached, the rumor equivalent of a loading bar that never shows a percentage.
What's actually confirmed
None of it, currently. No official statement from Nintendo or Game Freak accompanies any of this, and nothing here has been corroborated beyond the single channel reporting it this time around.
- The "Secret Countdown" has no stated purpose, date, or source beyond aDrive's tease.
- The Ghost-type Eevee claim carries no Pokédex number, ability set, or origin beyond being called "the latest rumor."
- Winds and Waves itself remains an unannounced project name used by leak channels, not a confirmed title from Nintendo.
Treat the countdown like you'd treat a benchmark run with no settings listed: interesting shape, zero data you can actually use yet. Check back when somebody official puts a number on it.
