Piggy's Next Skin Drop Teased, PlayStation Still Can't Play
A new Doggy masked skin and a free premium pass are reportedly coming to Roblox's Piggy, and once again my console isn't invited to the party.
Roblox scored another point this week, and my PlayStation didn't even get to play defense, because Piggy still doesn't exist on the platform I actually own. Chalk that one up for Xbox, PC, and mobile before we even get to what's actually in the update.
Credit where it's due: Roblox built that cross-platform reach the hard way, and Xbox and PC players get to enjoy it without a second thought. That's a real advantage, and I'm not going to pretend otherwise just because it stings a little.
According to the channel MA348, which has been covering Piggy news for three years running, the horror game is getting a new Doggy masked skin, and a premium pass is reportedly being made free for players who grab it in time. The same video reports that Piggy is showing up inside a broader Roblox event, alongside word that another full Piggy update is coming soon. None of this comes from an official Piggy developer statement in what I've seen; it's MA348 reporting what the channel has pieced together, so treat the timing and scope as a tip from a dedicated fan outlet rather than a confirmed patch note until the developers post one themselves.
Still, this tracks with where Piggy has been heading all year. The game's recent revamp already leaned into skins and seasonal content as the main event, something this site flagged when covering Piggy's new revamp update earlier this month. A free premium pass is a nice gesture toward the players who've been grinding through skin quest after skin quest, and a new masked skin gives the cosmetic chase another reason to keep spinning.
Scoreboard read: Roblox banks a point for showing up everywhere except my living room, Piggy banks a point for actually giving players something free instead of another paywall, and PlayStation sits this one out entirely, which is the real scoreline here. I'll take the win where Sony can actually show up and keep an eye on whether this "soon" update lands before the next one gets teased on top of it.
